SOLDIERS’ SETTLEMENT LOAN.
The Soldiers’ Settlement Loan did not (dose on Thursday, as originally announced. The ilnal date of closing is not vet known definitely. Subscriptions have been coming forward well, but ii is understood (hat additional sums are still required, and the compulsory provisions of the Finance Act will operate if the fall sum of £(i,000,000 E not subscribed voluntarily.
