PALMERSTON RAILWAY SITE.
t- v .. WE have before us a photograph of the proposed site of the Palmerston N. railway station, taken during the recent Hoods, and published hy the Palmerston N. Railway Vigilance League, it reminds us of the old biblical illustration of the Hood, minus the ark ami dove, with Ihg; difference, dial in the midst of a. wide expanse of water is a few square feel of dry land. H what the picture depicts is really the location of the proposed si.a lion site, then we can excuse Mr J. M. Johnston's wild and woolly *1 element a-bont-tho four mile bridge required lo span the Hooded area of the Manawatu on the proposed Leviu-Marton link of the Main Trunk line. The site depicted is certainly more suitable as a duck sanctuary than u railway station.
