CONGREGATION FORMS NEW CHURCH. Auckland, Nov. 24. A well-attended meeting of the congregation of Mt. Andicw'.s Presbyterian Clnmdi decided to resign from the church and-form a new church under the pastorate of Rev. A, A. Murray, who was suspended from the pastorate of St. Andrew’s on account of his disbelief of the Presbyterian practice regarding infant baptism. The meeting comprised members of other churches who had become associated with St. Andrew’s, it was unanimous on at! points except the matter of.what the new church should be named. It was stated that Rev. Murray himself favoured such a title as Independent Presbyterian Church, but no decision was reached. Mr Murray is assured of a minimum salary of £450 per annum.
