“The Great While Trail," the latest Wharton feature, to-night’s star feature, is worthy of the reputation of the producers of “The Exploits of Elaine” and “Palria.” As might be expected, it. is u thrilling melodrama, abounding in hair-rais-ing episodes, smoothly connected, splendidly staged, and absolutely certain to win the favour of all admirers of romantic adventure. Doris Kenyon, “Die prettiest girl in film<]om,” is the star, and she is supported by a notable caste. Great stretches of snow, wjlli never a track of sledge and snowshoe upon them; long vistas of mountains, ice caves and glaciers; these form (lie background in this enthralling photoplay. When Georges Clemeneean, the brilliant French statesman, was recovering from the hnllel wound of an assassin, who paid the death penally for bis murderous attack on lhe aged “Tiger of France,” the latter continued to arrange (he story of “The Strongest,'' his only photodrama, which William Fox will present at the Royal Theatre next .Monday.
