BOWLING.

Although the weather. so far this season has not been very favourable for bowling, some very interesting and enjoyable games have been played on the local green. Interest is now being evinced in the Club competitions, dud two matches have already been played for the Pennants. In the first match, the holders, Furriesand Roore, were defeated by Mercer ami D. AVhibley, by two points, the scores being 17 — 15. The new holders were called upon to defend their right to the trophies by Quartermnn and Admore, and were successful in beating the challengers by 19 points to 11.
