RIFLE SHOOTING.
Fine weather, with a fresh westerly breeze, prevailed last Saturday, when the last shoot for Mr F. Robinson’s trophy was held, 10 shots at ranges of 300 and 500 yards (not GOO yards, as previously stated). There was a large atteml,aiiee, and shooting generally was good; , The following are the scores :
There are two trophies,.value Cl each, one for each section. In the grand totals, the host two shoots of the three are counted. In A Section Mr J. Hartley, with 18(1.points, is the winner of the trophy, and Mr H. MeKegncy second, with 185 points. In IS Section the trophy is won by Mr C. Morgan, with IGS points, Mr S. Barber, with IG2 points, coming second.
To-day tlie first shoot for Mr Rider’s trophies, value £1 each, will be held, at ranges of 300 and GOO yards. The handicap limits for B Section will be raised to 42 at three ranges, 43 at 500 yards.
