FATAL INJURIES TO FARMER,

Hawera, Nov. 5.

Thomas Kay, a farmer, aged 4(5, was driving down a gorge in his motor car to his home at W’hakamara, when lie met another'car approaching. He turned his car towards the side of the road, and ran into a water channel. He succeeded in getting the car back to the road, hut it again swerved in an erratic manner, and ran into a post, which passed through the wind-screen, striking him in the chest and rendering him unconscious. He was taken to the hospital, hut died from his injuries. He leaves a widow and three children.
