Dunedin, Yesterday

As the outcome of the petition to Parliament, the following motion has been passed by the Otago Universitv Dental Students’ Associati-

on: “We wish to point out the grave injustice that will result if the legislation to enable thirteen mechanics applving for registration as qualified dentists without: undergoing the course prescribed by (he Act were passed. Firstly, it would be unfair to ourselves, (it) in number, a proportion of whom were employed as dental mechanics, who, in conformity with the Act, are undergoing four years’ course in Dunedin; secondly, we consider it would not safeguard the public, in (hat men without a depilate surgery training - should be allowed to practise.”
