BRITISH COAL STRIKE SETTLED.
INCREASE IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESULTS.
London, October 28. Official: The coal dispute lias been settled. The Minors-’ Executive states that the Premier will announce the settlement to-dav.
IJiuler the settlement the miners receive 2s per day additional from the, resumption of work to the Christmas'holidays. The new scale operating from 3rd January’ will be on a sliding* smile. If the output to Christmas readies the average output of the Jnly-Sentomber- quarter the rise will be Is per day over the existing rales, with an additional Cd cut of every extra £288,000 profits arising from export. The wages shall be fixed every four weeks, being based on the results of the preceding four week's.
