The official opening of. the Levin bowling green was to have taken place yesterday afternoon, but had to be postponed on account of the rain.
A meeting of the Manawatu Centro is being held at .Palmerston N. this afternoon. The business to be transacted includes the following: Notice of motion by Air Fustier: “That in the Centre’s champion of champions contest for rinks and pairs the various clubs receive nominations for rinks and pairs at least 10 weeks before date of competition, and that the winners of these entries provide the champion representatives; also, that the winner of each club’s singles be eligible onlv for the champion of champions singles competition. The following suggestion has been made by the .Wanganui Centre:— That the Manawatu Centre consider the question of holding home and home iuter-Centre games between Wanganui and Manawatu.
