Air C. Dahl, of Palmerston N., advertises that he has marquees and (lags of all nations for sale or -hire. The Retailers’ Association notifies that all business premises will be closed all day on Monday (Lab* our Day), and that the usual halfholiday on "Wednesday next will also lie observed.
A social, arranged by the male members of the local Alethodist Church, will he held on "Wednesday evening next. A good programme of vocal and instrumental items has been arranged, and there will also be various games and competitions, and supper. The price of admission is one shilling.
