RIFLE SHOOTING.
Last Saturday a sweepstake was held at ranges of 500 and 600 yards. There was a good attendance, but cold and windy weather was experienced, and the scoring, with a few exceptions, was generally low. Fiyst prize, 10s, was won by Mr W. Symons, the second prize,-ss, going to Mr J. Rider. The results are as follows: —
