DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB.

A general meeting of the above was held last night. There was a. good attendance, and Mr Rider presided. Present system of automatic handicapping on tint average of three previous Mmols still lo be adhered to. All shoots throughout, the season to be at tjvo ranges each Saturday, 10 shots and a sighter at each range. All competitors must put in two shoots out of three to count for the best aggregate for belt or shield at trophy matches. Selection Committee to decide on weather conditions. Mr Head donated a gold medal to winner of belt at end of season, and Mr Rider a gold medal to winner of shield. Resolved to shoot next Saturday and the two following Saturdays for the Patron's (Mr F. Robinson’s) trophy of £2, £1 each, to be first prize for A team and B team'respectively, it was decided to forward a letter of thanks appreciation to Mrs Head for her efforts in 'organising the children’s ball in aid of the Club’s funds.
