OBITUARY.
MRS. C. PETERSEN-AGED 42,
It is with very deep regret that wo have to record the death of Airs C. Petersen, of Avenue Road, Eoxton, which look place at the Palmerston Hospital on Saturday night. The cause of death was blood poisoning, brought' about by a fall about five weeks ago. The late Mrs Petersen, wbo was only 42 years of age, had been an inmate of (he hospital for about three, and a-half weeks. She was a daughter of Airs and the late Air Theophilus Easton, of Eoxton, and was held in the highest esteem by ail who know her. She leaves a husband, three sons and a daughter to whom, in common with their many friends, wo-extend our heartfelt sympathy in the irreparable loss (hey have sustained.
The funeral took place this afternoon, the ceremony at the graveside being conducted by the Rev. W, 11. Walton.

Tho death look place last night, of Mr IT, AY. Richmond, til the age of 08 years. The deceased had been a sufferer fur some lime from heart trouble, and his end was not unexpeeled. The late Mr Richmond had laAn residing - in this , district for many years, and milil recently was in business as a eoachhnildcr. etc. He always took an interest in the public life of |he town, and served for some time as a member of the local Borough Council. Owing tn ill-health he had to retire from business some months and since then was mostly confined to his house. Ho leaves a widow to mourn her loss. The interment (private) will take, place to-morrow afternoon, no flowers (by request). i
