AVe hear and read quite a lot about the morals of pictures, the need .of stricter censorship, etc.., but it is a certainty that if all screen features were as clean and elevating as -those we get from the dainty Marguerite Clark the moralists would have little lo cavil at. Generally, such a character is represented on the stage and screen as a grasping, selfish person but this one is a sympathetic human who helps the heroine in many ways.
