ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Gisborne, Sept. 27. Bertie Athol Rhodes, aged 27 years, who was injured in a collision between a motorcycle and a niotor car on Thursday last, died in the hospital on Sunday. - Auckland, Sept. 27. .Peter Brady, while working on the now stand for the Trotting Club at Alexandra Park, had one of his arms torn out of the socket through being caught in the machinery of the cement mixer. The arm was amputated at the ho'spitul. Dunedin, Sept. 2(i. The body of a woman between 50 and GO years of age was found in the estuary at Sawyer’s Bay to-day. The body has not yet been identified. A coat and hat were previously found on the railway line near by.
