RECORD PRICE FOR JERSEY
Air E. S. Mcßae, of Napier road, has received a letter from Mr W T . H. Booth, Middle Run, Carterton, slating that lie has sold his three-year-old Jersey bull, “Mere’s Conqueror,” for 400 guineas, which is believed to be a record price for the Dominion (says the Palmerston Times). The bull, which was bred by Air Mcßae on bis farm on Napier Road, was sold to Mr Booth as a yearling. “Mere’s Conqueror” is from Mr Mcßae's cow, “Mere,” by “Silver Conqueror,” “More” live years ago was the world's champion yearling butter-fat producer, “Mere’s Conqueror” is also a full brother to that tine eow “Mere Hon,” which won the bronze medal for junior heifers in the Government’s .-emi-offieial record lest. The new owner of Ike bull is Mr Godfrey, oi Ekelabnna. who also has a farm al Hawera. Mr Booth states (hat he .is keeping a yearling bull by “.Mere’s Conqueror,” which is one of the best-looking types Hint he bad yet bred.
