FATAL FIGHT.
Gisborne, Sep!-. IH. A sitting of the Police Court was held yesterday afternoon at (Inhospital, when a litter's apprentice named Alexander Roderick Mcßae ’Williamson was charged with causing actual bodily harm to Harry Pritchard at Niven's foundry on September .'3rd. Pritchard was admitted to the hospital two day,- ago suffering from laceration ol the brain. The evidence of the injured man was taken, and accused’s counsel applied for bail. Sub-Inspec-jor Cassells objected, but the justices decided to grant bail for £SOO and one surely of £SOO. It is alleged that accused struck Pritchard In a lie'llt in the dinner-hour, and Pritchard, falling, hit his head on some iron. Pritchard's condition is reported to be very grave. Later. Harry Pritchard, whose depositions in connection with an alleged ussaull in a foundry at Gisborne were taken on Friday afternoon, died at the Gisborne hospital on Saturday afternoon. Alexander Roderick .Mcßae Williamson, aged 21 years, was charged at the Gisborne police court this morning with the manslaughter of Harry Pritchard, and was remanded to the 24th Jjus.taiit.
