RIDGWAY’S NEW CIRCUS.
The above combination, which appeared in Eoxlon some three months ago, will play a return season, opening on Monday next, September 201 li. Since last appearing here, Mr Ridgway has paid a visit to the prineipal cities of Australia; where he has succeeded in gelling together a galaxy of circus artists as is seldom seen in any circus visiting New Zealand. Among the star attractions arc “Amazio,” the world’s famous animal trainer, with his performing cow, horse, and grizzly hears. This act is spoken of as being the greatest laugh-provoking turn ever imported to this country. Perhaps the greatest importation of Mr Ridgway, especially in the fun department, is Mr “Daddy Hands,” with Ids miniature horse, whose stunts have amused audiences in every part, of the civilised world. This performer is known throughout three continents as the greatest; fun-maker ever seen inside the circus arena. Mr Ridgway will also introduce among other huckjumpcrs the notorious outlaw known throughout Australia as “Mobile.” This otillaw has never been seated by any of the crack Australian riders for more than seven seconds, which speaks volumes for the prowess of this horse as a Imekjumper. The show will he .supplemented hy the usual quota of clowns, dummies, hacking mules, acrobats, and performing dogs and monkeys. The hand in attendance is headed hy Mr .Michael McMahon, the cornet virtuoso.
