'flic annual meeling of the Maim wain Club was held this week. The report stated that tin- year commenced with a membership of 92 bowlers and 51 croquet players, and closed with -H bowlers and 5-1 croquet players. With reference lo Ihe additional acre for playing area, the committee had come P> terms with the Borough Council, by which they wore to pay £125, the estimated cost of laying out the new greens, and an additional rental of £99 per annum, which in future would increase their liability from £125 (o £155 per annum. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr J. A. Xash M.P.; president, Mr C. I’’. Spooner: lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr t. A. E. Ferguson; aiidilor, Mr W. Hunter; committee, Messrs W. W. Jones, D. M. Fustier. W, McKenzie, Dr. Whitaker, Mesdames Mcßae and Baxter.
The annual report of the Feilding Bowling Club stales Unit (he season commenced with a membership of 55, and closed witli 83, ami that during the year the overdraft had been reduced from £77 13s 9d lo £4l 11s Sd.
The name of Mr F. Sluhbins avus inadvertently omitted from the list of new members elected at the annual meeting of the Foxton Bowling Club on Wednesday night.
