SAYS the Post: —“Butter is sold in New Zealand at less than the export price, and the producers thereof are compensated out of the national revenue, which is drawn from the people, mostly by taxation. Timber is sold in New Zealand at less than the export price, and the producers thereof are not compensated out of the national revenue Ac fail to see in what respect, as a matte]- of personal right, the producer of milk products is better entitled than the producer of timber to the expoi'l price, or, in lion thereof, to compensation out of the national revenue. Jf the gander has a bet (alright than the goose to the financial sauce, we would like to see the fact demonstrated.”
