CONVICT’S WEDDING.
FIVE’ MINUTES’ .FREEDOM. •Taco!) Miller, aged twenty-six, four times convicted of burglary, and sentenced to imprisonment for life in America, was allowed Jive minutes’ freedom in which to got married. The shackles were struck from hi- wrists, am! the- sheriff and attendant- withdrew, and Miller stood in the chapel of the Bronx Marriage License Bureau will) a little seamstress, Hannah Rosenbaum, aged twenty-one, who was to_ become his bride. Grouped about the couple were friends and relatives. After the ceremony had been performed the sheriff’s assistants tendered congratulation- and cigars. Then the sheriff ami his two deputies .shackled Miller's wri-ls again. The bride clung to Miller’s neck, but she was taken away as gently as possible.
