LAND VALUES.
The Prime Minister i'oreslailed discussion on the Valuation Estimates in the House ot.‘ Representatives last week by .slating that ninety specially-selected emergency valuers were being appointed to assist the Department. The Commissioner of Taxes had been furnished with revised valuations of unimproved land in the Dominion, which represented an increase of £24,104,081, which would be available for taxation in the current year. In many of the counties land valuations for taxing purposes are rediculously low.
