The man, a Western miner, has no intimation of; the scheme when he finds the shrinking girl in his cabin, and when he questions her, she believes Ins’ intentions are dishonourable, and shoots him. But the girl remains to nurse him back to health, and during the process they both discover that the postmistress, instead of harming them, brought them the greatest happiness they had ever known. ‘
