ADULTERATION OF A “CORDIAL.”

Auckland, yesterday,
At the Police Court, Hollis and Walls, cordial manufacturers, admitted adulteration of raspberry cordial, which an analysis ■ showed was nothing more than a mixture' of water, sugar, and red ink, or some siieh aniline colouring. Defendants declared that all the ingredients were perfectly harmless, Mr Poynton, S.M., said such adulteration was reprehensible in the highest degree, and imposed a tine of £SO and costs.
