DORCAS SOCIETY.
The D(imis Society committee met at tlie Council Chamber ye<terdav a I'ternoon. Present: Mesdaiues Moore (in tlie chair), Barber senr.. C, Robinson, Barr, Pearson, Elford, Alsop, Walton, and Me Murray. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdaiues F. Robinson and A. Boss. The Secretary reported that Tour families had been assisted with clothing; three of these are still receiving help. Also that the Society is (pule out of funds. Thanks are due to Mrs C. Robinson for the donation of Cl, and to Mesdaiues F. Robinson, Ingle, .T. Robinson and Me Murray for parcels of left-olf clothing. The Society would be pleased to receive parcels of leftoff clot bin"'. Owing to the recent calls on their boxes, the slock of clothing is almost exhausted. Also we are asked to point out that ladies who do not wish to sew may become honorary members on payment of 2s (id per annum, and so help the funds. It is hoped # that the public will show their practical sympathy with this deserving body by rendering assistance.
