At u Warwickshire sale of dairy Shorthorn cattle, a heifer was sold for £980! a cow and a calf realised £I,OOO, and a bull £BOO. Cows averaged nearly £3OO each. More than 100,000 American ■parcel-post packages have been found by Y.M.C.A. investigators, which have been lying in French post odiccs undelivered for many months. Approximately 100 vessels, with a total of 050,000 tonnage, were launched on the Clyde river during the last year, the output almost reaching the record of ship construction on the Clyde. Motor transportation, especially the truck', was accorded a position equal to that of the railroad and the merchant marine in the eighth annual meeting of the chamber of commerce of the United States.
