The suggestion that the sea lions of British Columbia lie slaughtered ami their skins used for making shoes has met with approval of fishermen, and plans are under way for killing the animals on a large scale. Fishermen point out that killing sea lions also will save fish,, for the average sea lion devours fifty pounds of food fish in u day.
