INFLUENZA.
EPIDEMIC AT HOKITIKA,
Hokitika, July 30
Inlluenza is generally prevalent in the town and district, hut: fortunately in a mild form, and without pneumonic features. Whole families are going down to the epidemic, and some of the local services have become dislocated through tho hands being absent, A period of exceptionally fine Avealher Ims prevailed, Avith brilliant sunshine throughout the Avhole day, followed by heavy frosts and low temperature in the early mornings.
