A FLUTTER IN DUNEDIN,

Dunedin, July 30,

During the past few days rumours have been current that the price of butter is to be substantially increased, and, as a consequence, there, /has been a rush by a large number of people to lay in extra supplies. 'This foresight, as it were, is not warranted, as there is excellent authority for believing that there is no immediate prospect of an increase in butter prices. If any advance is (.ultimately decided on it is understood it will not take place till about October.
