ALLAN WILKIE COMPANY.

“THE ROTTERS” TO-MORROW NIGHT. At the Town Hall to-morrow (Friday) evening, the Allan Wilkie Comedy Company will appear in H. F. Maltby’s world-famed comedy, “The Rotters,” which is now touring New Zealand for the first time. This play scored a phenomenal success when it was first presented in London four years ago, and drew overflowing audiences on each of the three occasions on which it was revived in that city. “The Rotters” is conceded do he the most laughable comedy produced in London for many years. The plot is written around one Clugstan, an illiterate, self-made man, who has risen to the middle-class of provincial North of England. Clugstan prides himself on the eminent respectability of himself and his family. Developments occur that disillusion him under most laughable circumstances, concerning the behaviour of the members of his household. The Clugstons’ chauffeur, a ne’er-do-well young man, who copies of a good family, figures prominently in the play. The box plan is at Heath’s.
