The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 24th instant, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: — Meat. —Demand for English meat is limited, except for best quality and land). Average prices are: Beef Is- sd, mutton Is 7Ad, lamb Is lid. Argentine chilled beef is iu active demand at full price, hinds Is, fores Bd. No change in price for imported moat, except New Zealand uncut ewes, wliieh have been reduced to Bd.
Butter. —Average price English butter is £l7 2s 8d; price Irish has advanced owing to short supplies: £l7 ss, £l7 10s. Cheese. —Market quiet, and prices unchanged for English, £8 12s, £9 2s. Canadian market is easier, owing to large arrivals: .spot £7 IGs, £8: c.i.f. £7 11s to £7 14s.
Honey.:—Market quiet. Nominal quotations are 90s and 105, according to quality.
