WHEN MANNIX REACHES

ENGLAND. London, July 22. Replying to Mr Frederick YoungIn the House of Commons, Mr Lloyd George said that, owing to Dr. Mannix’s dangerous political views, the Government would take certain steps as soon as he attempted to land. New York, July 21. The Maynooth College Alumni Union entertained Dr. Mannix and De Valera at dinner. Dr. Mannix said; “I was told I would not be allowed to land in the United Slates, but the hierarchy, of the Church and the people of America, have made my sojourn here a veritable march of triumph. 1 made enemies in Australia because I never forgot I was an Irishman. I found systematic British propaganda in Australia against Ireland.”
