HIGH COMMISSIONER’S / REPORT. The High Commissioner’s cable, dated 17th inst, reads: — The Manila market is firm and advancing. J grade, July-August shipment, £O4; August-Oetoher shipment sold at £65 14s. The Manila receipts from 1.-t January to I.2th July totalled 052,000 bales, as against 003,000 for the same period hist year. The New Zealand market is very quiet, and business is practically confined to parcels already shipped. High-points sold at £54, and fair at £53. May-July shipment £53 and £sl, respectively, ■!.
