According to I lie story she I old (he police, she married a man named Nartelle in Italy. The couple went to New Zealand, and resided there for several years. Subsequently. with her daughter, the woman came to Sydney under her maiden name, assumed male garb, and worked as a man. In MM 7 she went through the ceremony ot marriage with a widow named Burkett. Some months later .Mrs Burkett's charred remains were found in (lie ashes of a lire in the hush at Chatswood. The supposition was that she had fallen into the fire in a lit or while drunk', and an open verdict was recorded. Further evidence came into the hands of the police, which led them to charge Fullini with murder. In November last Fallini "married'’ another woman.
