THE SKITTISH PROFITEER.

(From the Auckland Observer.) Some talk of Alexander, And some of Hercules; Of Hector and Lysundor '(And greater toffs than these). But of ail the world’s worst Nero’s There’s none so mean or near * x\.s the tow-row rag-tag, bobtail push, The Skittish Profiteer! They “charge” with sound of thunder To take the £ s. d. They tear our homes asunder, To set the sovereigns free. They rob the world’s bright heroes Of all they hold most dear The tow-row, rag-tag, bobtail push, The “dear” old “Profiteer.” They storm the serried masses With prices twelve miles high; They tread upon the classes And live while others die. And Hitemup and Grabit, The underdog will spear, The tow-row, bow-wow, bobtail push, The Skittish Profiteer.
