FOOTBALL.
We clip ihe following references to the Boxtoa players who look pari in the junior representative match at Devin last Saturday, from Hie Levin Chronicle: —
Reid, the Box!on live-eighth, has gained a lot of local admirers since Hie season opened for his “heady play, and he never fails to show to advantage. On Saturday he again made good, and on occasion when the heavy ball was monopolised by (he forwards lie came round and did his hit in the ruck. He workeddhe “(lummy” pa-’S nicely towards (he end of the game, and retaining Hie ball cut in sharply and scored a fine try.
Robinson (Foxtou) and Robinson (Uni Mai) are a line type of the solid, aggressive forward. Both pla- the game from start to finish, and were always there or thereabouts when anything was doing. The three-quarters did not get a groat deal to do, but Moses, who is usually brilliant at centre, handled badly, and made the mistake once or twice of attempting to take the ball when another player was ready to receive it.
The Foxton full-back, Taylor, was as safe as ever, and gave his side no cause for anxiety.
