CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor.)
Sir. —ln reply to the Rev. F'orrestal’s denunciation of myself for daring to rebuke him for his statement when opening his Im’zaar. His reply is chielly an effort to smother me with sarcasm, but never-the-less f still think it was rather indiscreet to preface the opening of the function with the remarks lie made. As to the nuns, 1 made no reference to them whatever, as I recognise the good work they did during that period as well as he does. X'ow, Sir, what I want to know is this: seeing that all hospitals temporary and permanent, wen 1 under the control of the .Minister of Health, who published his appreciation to all for the work done, irrespective of creed, and as he spoke on helm If of the people as a whole, what other body did the Rev. Father expect to hear from locally .' AVa> not the Anglican vicarage also turned into a hospital, yet that body apparently, were satisfied with the np-. predation of the Health Department. Does he think the Labour Parly is a public body? Really, an infant could tell him it is a political party, ami arc not‘it’s most prominent members of Ids faith; As regards my anonymity, that’s a liberty I enjoy under our present constitution, which would be a doubtful quantity under some constitutions. Not being in the habit of distorting things, 1 write with a clear vision, and still think that true Christianity knows no particular order or creed. —1 am, etc.,
