DEATH FROM POISONED FINGER.

Christchurch, June 20,

The Coroner to-day held an inquiry into the death of Hector King (aged *24), which occurred in the Christchurch Hospital.

Dr. Widdowson, who made a postmortem examination of the body, .-.aid that the proximate of the right little Hager had been amputated. The skin and the muscles were gangrenous. Death was due to pericarditis following septic infection to the Huger. He could find nothing but the septic finger to account for deceased’s condition. A verdict was returned in accordant with the medical testimony.
