The Government Meteorologist wires as follows ; Indications’ are I'or freshening strong to gale northerly winds. Expect dull weather, with much mist and fog in parts. Heavy rain is to be expected, with rivers rising shortly. Barometer falling. Sea increasing, tides moderate, sea heavy.
