ST. MARY’S SALE OF WORK.
The Sale oj Work in aid of the Convent and school which is to he held to-day and to-morrow, promises to tie the sflccess that, has boon looked forward lo by all interested in the work. The opening, by Rev. Father Forreslal, P.P.. took place at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
Besides the (ish-pond, where fish-

O’Donnell and Aliss Aileon Bowe, there are the Plain and Fancy Stalls, presided over by Airs Hynes and Mrs A\ right, Airs O Dnnoglme and Aliss Smith, respectively; a Lottie Stall where, under Airs Desmond's -npervision, the school girls hope lo he kept as busy as lices: a Produce Stall, in the hands of the school, hoys; last, hut by no means least, is the all-important Refreshment Stall, of which Aliss Hon Hold has the charge, and where a dainty supper —still more daintily served—may he procured, Tliis evening selections will he rendered by Miss Upton, a leading Wellington mezzo-soprano.
During the Sale a varied musical programme will he gone through by iliequipils of the Convent, and other local talent. The Sale will he open from 3 to 4.30 pan. each day, and in the evening from S o clock. No charge for admission in /the afternoon. In the evening, adults'(id, children 3d.
On Friday evening raffles, by permission of the Alinister of Internal Affairs, will he drawn. All are invited, and we are confident that those who patronise the. Sale of Work will not he disappointed. 3 ’ ________
