Laler, on route to the Lord Mayor’s ball, lie called on a representative gathering of journalists at the Grand Hotel, where he said he was issuing an appeal to the people not to crowd him as they were doing. They would thus make his tour much happier. The Renown was thrown open to the public, and visited by thousands.
