MANAWATU GORGE ROAD.
A meeting of delegates from the various' local bodies interested in the control of the Gorge road was held at Palmerston North yesterday. A resolution was carried-as follows; —“That this meeting of delegates of local bodies interested is satisfied with the proposals for widening the Manawatu Gorge road to a, width of 21 feet, and they recommend that the work he proceeded with," A resolution was also passed favouring the erection of toll gates on the Gorge road.
