KING’S MESSAGE.

Wellington, • Lam Night

To-day the following telegraphic message from his Majesty the King was removed: —‘‘Please thank the people of New Zealand for warmhearted enthusiastic reception given by them to my oddest son throughout his visit to their beautiful islands, accounts of which have touched and gratified the Queen and me, but wo are not surprised, for we preserve in our hearts imperishable memories of the loyal and affectionate welcome accorded to us in New Zealand nineteen years ago. I know with what pride my son met again the men of the New Zealand army, whose gallant deeds in the great war will live forever in the history of the Empire.”
