OX ICVXGITIKLI BEACH
On Sunday afternoon, at 5 o’clock, the Aorerc went ashore at a spot live miles south of the Rangitikei Heads. The captain and crew were saved. The Aorere. which is of 70 tons burden, was .running between Blenheim and Wanganui with a cargo of barley and chaff when the mishap occurred. The vessel was in command of Captain Crolty. , The weather at: the time was very bad, a heavy westerly gale with a big sea running. There is very little hope of saving her from becoming a total wreck.
