On Wednesday a .Metro special, starring Harold Lockwood and .Mav Allison, is the main attraction. The ,-torv is hnill from the days preceding ami during the RevoJntionary War, and is a great pieturisation of flic famous story hy Robert: W. Chamliers, “The Hidden Children.’' The bond of blood brotherhood is one of the most remarkable scenes ever filmed. The heatuiful ceremony of the White Bridal, uniting by sacred vows, in (he depths of the tores!, Euan and Lois de Contreeocur, is another truly impressive scene. The great feast id.' Dreams, with the White Sorceress of the Senemas as ('ream-interpreter, the dance of the Eight Thunders, with all their grace and savage beauty, are shown in every detail in this amazing production. which reproduces the early history of the nation. On Thursday next, at the Royal, the wonderful Shackle!on expedition pictures, “In the Grip of the Polar Pack Ice," will be screened.- Xo drannv of imagination was ever more vivid than these wonderful motion pictures of the Shackleton Expedition. and the crushing of the “Endurance” in the Polar pack-ice is unhpie in the history of photography. The imagination falters; one’s mind can hardly encompass the story and scenes of hardship, heroism and dramatic adventure in the Antarctic that are unfolded in the progress of Captain Hurley's lecture and pictures. The films, are unique —an education to all who sec them. Everyone should sec this marvellous picture.
