Deposits in the Fust Office Savings Bunks of the Dominion tor the y quarter ended .March 31st hist, stood at £9,271.008, as compared with £5,805,478 for the corresponding quarter of 1010, an increase of £3,400,130. Withdrawn Is amounted to £8,358,507 for the first quarter - * of 1920; they were £4,820,473 for the corresponding quarter of 101,0. The excess of deposits over withdrawals in the first quarter of .1020 was £913,010, which is lowin’ than the balance of the March quarter of 1010 hy £122,905. The withdrawals f,,r the March quarter exceed 1020 deposits at two places only, namely, Westport and Greymouth.
