PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
The quarterly district meeting of managers of the Foxton charge of the Presbyterian Church wa.s held at Glen Oroua on ’Wednesday last. Present: Rev. Thos. llaiiiday (moderator), Messrs Barr, Alex. Spoil's, Renton, Jas, Ross, Hornblow (Foxton), Wilton, Gimloll (Rangiolu), Farmer, Sinicox and Johnston (Glen Oroua). The quarterly balancesheet disclosed the linances in a healthy condition —a retail'd quarterly statement. The result <>l‘ .the Golden Sunday free-will offerings wcrc favourably commented upon. It wa.s resolved to inform Presbytery that the Church extension gran; would not he required a ti er the close of tiie financial Year. The matter of leasing the church seel ion at Rongotea was left in the hands of Messrs Farmer and Sinicox, with power to act. Ollier matters of detail were discussed, and the meeting' rose. The next meeting will be held at Foxton. The delegates were subsequently entertained at luncheon by Mr and Mrs Farmer.
