A letter from a little ex-Foxtmi girl appears in the Illustrated Leicester Chronicle of February 28th, in tin 1 “Chats with Children'' col'limit. . The little girl referred to is •Kitty Large (aged 8), Her teller, which will interest her Foxton males, reads ns follows: — “Our baby is a fat one. and she lias got blue eyes. She is very, very pretty, but she has always got a. black face. When she goes out she is beautiful. She was horn in New Zealand, in" a place called Foxton. l! .is in the North Island. She has curly hair, and iter mime is Ilossie. She had,her second hirihday on board ship. The name of the slop is (he Athene:. . Fiossie has got a verv small nose. She always calls dinnet' “dinnow.' She says “ow every time she should say “or. When I. conic home trom school at dinner-time she shouts, “Como and ah a dinnow, Kitty.’ And she helps Grandma to do the work, too. She has got a black doll made out of stockings. She likes it best of all the dolis she has goj.. She has got a Redeross Nurse and she likes it second best. She also rubs oil on the table legs to get off the marks she says Grandpa had done.’’
