FOOTBALL.

(By Goalpost.) The foot ha ll season was opened on Saturday with a practice match on the new ground (Easton Park). The Hold is still in a somewhat rough slate, hut the Cluli members have done gvod work clearing and iaivning (lie rubbish.

The .Banner matches commence on May 81 h, and as seven teams are entered in the senior grade, and live in the junior, some interesting games will be seen. The local club is endeavouring to arrange a senior match against Shannon, at Shannon, and a junior match against Shannon, on the local, ground, on Saturday next. If this cannot .be arranged a practice game amongst local players will be played on Easton Park.
